Owner / Head Trainer

My journey into dog training started over a decade ago, thanks to a dog who pushed every limit I had. I was unprepared, overwhelmed, and flying blind—so I did what most people don’t: I committed myself to figuring it out. That decision launched me into a 13+ year journey that’s led to working with around 500 dogs, from off-leash obedience cases to complex behavioral issues like aggression and leash reactivity.

I’m a balanced trainer, but my core philosophy goes deeper than methods. I see dog training the same way I see raising a child: you help them do the hard things now, so they can have an easier, more fulfilling life later. Most dogs don’t need more treats—they need more clarity, more structure, and more accountability. That’s what I aim to provide.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? It’s not just about the dog. The person on the other end of the leash matters just as much. A dog’s confidence and behavior are shaped by their handler’s mindset, leadership, and consistency. That’s why I spend just as much time coaching people as I do training dogs.

I love working with clients who are coachable, invested, and ready to make real changes. I take a personal interest in their success and make myself available as a guide every step of the way. Whether you’re dealing with tough behavioral problems or just want your dog to walk calmly by your side, I’m here to help you build a relationship that actually works—in the real world.

Dogs have always been my greatest passion. Growing up, I was fortunate to share my life with dogs of many breeds, spending countless hours hiking trails and exploring the outdoors with them. My love for dogs led me to work in shelters, where I advocated for bully breeds and helped maintain their good behavior at events and fundraisers.

I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the industry, including the Monks of New Skete and Marc Goldberg, where I gained invaluable training insights and techniques. My experience also includes working as a professional dog walker, managing pack walks and group play sessions, which deepened my understanding of canine behavior and social dynamics.

For me, training is more than just teaching commands—it’s about building a connection and restoring confidence in both dogs and their owners. It has given me the opportunity to give a voice to the voiceless and help dogs live happier, more balanced lives.

I can help you gain control and restore harmony in your life

Let me be upfront with you:

We all want that happy-go-lucky dog who listens and doesn’t ignore us.

We want a dog who feels like that strong companion animal we all picture in our minds. The dog we can take anywhere and do anything with.

But something happens along the way…

We begin to struggle with our dog.

The dog starts to develop one bad habit, and then another, and yet another. Or maybe it’s just one bad habit but it becomes so strong overtime that it’s now difficult to stop.

We get busy, life takes over, we don’t have time to focus on the problem (or we don’t know how to fix it). By that point we’re frustrated, maybe angry, and definitely disillusioned.

Here’s the problem…

If you don’t put an end to the unwanted behaviors your bad feelings will fester as your dog’s poor behavior continues to grow worse.

If you don’t figure out how to control, manage, and improve your dog’s behaviors then you’re bound to a life of stress, anxiety, and resentment. Whether that problem be one of dog aggression, dealing with a fearful dog, or you have a dog that has become increasingly unruly and unmanageable.

You want walks that are free of wild antics. You want confidence in your dog’s reliability and trustworthiness. You want to feel safe and never threatened by your dog’s behavior. You want more overall control. I’m here to tell you that you can have all of that, and I can show you how.

If you are struggling with your dog and need immediate help, you’re in the right place.

If you want to learn how the right mental attitude, tools, and techniques can minimize and eliminate behavioral issues, you’re in the right place. Dog training doesn’t need to be an out-of-reach concept.

I strongly feel that those of us dealing with a challenging dog shouldn’t have to lose sleep, get stressed, fight with the dog each day, or miss out on a good quality of life. There is a better way.

I too struggled with dogs. As is the case with most trainers, I was pulled into this business because of a dog. One particular dog who turned my world upside down.

The struggles I went through were no different than many of my clients these days. Too many issues to fight against and no understanding of how to deal with them.

I was able to overcome that situation and come out of it with a clearer perspective of dogs and myself. At least I found a larger purpose to my life and a direction to heads towards.

I feel blessed to be able to do what I do today. Being able to meet so many wonderful people and also help them with their dogs has really transformed my life and made me grow in a profound way.

Seminars, studying courses, extensive reading, working with other trainers, and the countless dogs I’ve trained throughout the Capital Region has helped deepen my understanding and knowledge and contributed to me becoming the person I am today.

I believe there’s a way to help dogs and humans learn how to coexist peacefully and I know I can do that for you.
